This past weekend, we couldn't wait any longer, and took a weekend to ourselves.

My husband and I never have to ponder long about where we are going.  We always agree and drive straight to the "Amish Country" in Holmes County, Ohio.  We spent two days antique shopping, quilt shopping, and driving through the beautiful countryside.  It is so restful with such peaceful scenery. 

I can't wait to go back.  And as usual, the last day we tried to find all kinds of excuses to stay, but eventually we wonder back home to reality.  Such is life.   :-)

WOOL ADVENTURES

Hello Everyone! 

It has been awhile since I've last updated my blog and I've missed all of you.  I am still recovering from the holidays, setting up shop, along with a hundred other miscellaneous jobs.  However, I believe I'm back on track.  I hope you are all doing well and thinking warm weather.

What looks different?  Well, I've had a little blog makeover with the help of Amy from AmyBug's Primitive Attic.  She has wonderful vintage designs along with being a very caring person who will absolutely take care of your needs.  http://www.amybug.com/

FELTED WOOL FROM DORR MILL

I spent most of this past weekend felting this wonderful bundle of wool that I purchased from the Dorr Mill Store the first of January.

In case you didn't know, the Dorr Mill Store offers a nice discount on their wool starting the beginning of January.  I believe it runs for a couple of weeks.  Be sure to mark this event on your calendar for next year.  I take advantage of this sale every year for stocking up on plain woolens for hand dyeing and base fabric woolens for my applique work.
